Dulquer Salmaan plays Krishnan, a 42-year-old man who lives in Mumbai. He comes back to his hometown this for,s the basic thread for the story. Dulquer appears in 3 different get-ups in the movie, which depicts the three different stages of his. Character.
The first half of the film was nice, Kammattipaadam is not a typical Rajeev Ravi style film, it’s a commercial movie. The film revolves around 2 periods of time and The artists have managed to deliver good performance in both the time periods. The main highlight of the movie was obviously Dulquer`s different getups in the movie. The Actor has done justice to The 40 years aged Krishnan and the Krishnan of the mid 20`s. The film begins with the childhood of Krishnan and Gangan, The director seems to have good casting sense.
The boy who played the childhood of Vinayakan delivered an extraordinary performance. The movie has a good pace and doesn’t have any lags and flows nicely from the 80`s to the present. Dulquer`s performance was above average in the film and he has totally stealed the show with his get up of 43 years old Krishnan. Vinayakan have also delivered an above average performance as Gangan. Vinay Fort and Shine Tom Chacko also plays pivotal roles in the film.
The second Half of the movie is thrilling. The cinematographer have done a wonderful job and the visuals are so perfect, The movie picks up a faster pace and the second half is filled with some mass scenes. There was a great response from the audience during Dulquer`s action sequences and the theatre was filled with Loud Cheers. The climax of the movie is not a predictable one.
P Balachandran has written a concrete script, The music for the film is composed by K John P. Varkey Vinayakan and the songs are already in the top charts. The background score of the film is nicely done and perfectly syncs with the visuals.
Final Verdict: Kammatipaadam is one of the finest Crime-Drama the Mollywood has witnessed in recent times.
